$100,000 Gift from Huntington Helps The Campaign to Revolutionize Care at Wexner Heritage Village Meet Its First-year, $2.5 Million Goal

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Wexner Heritage Village is pleased to announce a $100,000 gift from Huntington Bank in support of the organization’s Campaign to Revolutionize Care at Wexner Heritage Village.

Campaign Co-chairs James Bowman and Randall Arndt along with Huntington Regional Vice President James Kunk announced the gift at the WHV annual meeting on January 25. The funds will be used to initiate development of the WHV Institute training center.

“The gift was significant in helping the organization raise $2.5 million of its $10 million fundraising goal,” Bowman said. The campaign goal was announced in January 2011.

In addition to the Huntington gift, the campaign’s first-year success includes lead gifts that have brought about the following developments on campus and in service growth:

  • The opening of the Saul & Sonia Modes Schottenstein Dialysis Pavilion,
  • The opening of The Cottage memory-care assisted living residence,
  • Expansion of palliative care services at Zusman Hospice,
  • Expansion of home-based care that includes wellness services, and
  • Growth in unrestricted gifts supporting Wexner Heritage Village’s greatest needs.

"We are grateful for the outpouring of support this campaign has received early in its journey," said Randall Arndt. "Every gift makes a difference and has far-reaching possibilities and rewards. We welcome all who wish to invest in the goals and potential of Wexner Heritage Village."

Wexner Heritage Village President and CEO David Rosen added, “The success of this campaign will, most importantly, enable us to bring an even higher standard of care to our patients and families by funding the level of innovation essential for WHV’s future growth and strength.”
