August 2019

Dear friends and supporters,

In 1990 a time capsule was created to celebrate the Wexner Heritage House cornerstone campaign. This year, as leaders of Wexner Heritage Village, we had the pleasure of discovering the treasured newspapers, photos and pledge cards inside which are the inspiration for our annual report. With familiar names and handwritten tributes, the Faith in the Future campaign cards serve as reminders to us of the vision the community had for the future of Wexner Heritage Village. Visions of superior care for elders in the Jewish and Columbus community. Honoring those legacies is a privilege to each of us at Wexner Heritage Village.

It is a pleasure to share our annual report with you today, which honors both the legacy and future of Wexner Heritage Village. We hope you will take a moment to take in the warm smiles and meaningful notes that are the past, present and future of WHV.  From our Woodland Avenue beginnings to our expansive campus of today, WHV is built with the same vision and promise – to provide superior care for those we are honored to serve.

And our commitment today is stronger than ever, as reflected in these recent highlights:
  • Our healthcare quality rating went from 2 stars to 4 stars in under a year.
  • Our Safe Workplace Committee secured all 4 possible safety awards from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation - a first for WHV.
  • Our leadership team has delivered positive financial results from operations every month since fall of 2018.
  • We hosted the Columbus Board of Rabbis’ Yom HaShoah ceremony in our synagogue, a moving program planned by Rabbi Lefton with over 350 guests in attendance.
  • Senior Rabbi, Debbie Lefton, recognized by Columbus Jewish News with a Difference Maker award for her work at WHV and in the Jewish community.

We are grateful for the community support that has helped us provide the care we are so proud to give. We would be honored to have your future support of volunteer time or financial contribution. Your gift of any size is greatly appreciated.  We hope to earn your trust and pledge our commitment to restore your Faith in our Future.

Sincerely,
